Redub turns a text prompt into an AI-generated podcast episode - one or more voices, picked and cast automatically, discussing whatever topic you give it. This page explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

• Account info. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. If you use "Try as guest" instead, we create an anonymous identity with no personal information attached.
• Content you create. The prompts you submit, and the resulting AI-generated title, script, speaker names, and audio.
• Listening activity. An anonymous browser cookie plus how far into an episode a listener gets, used to measure whether episodes are actually being listened to. This isn't tied to your name or account unless you're also signed in in the same browser.
• Standard technical logs. IP address and timestamps, kept briefly for security and to prevent abuse (for example, rate-limiting automated requests).

How we use it

• To generate and serve podcast episodes from your prompts.
• To let you sign in, and to attribute episodes you create to your account.
• To understand aggregate listening patterns - like completion rates - so we can tell whether the product is actually working.
• To prevent abuse of the generation system.

Who we share it with

• Google (Gemini API). Your prompt is sent to Google's Gemini models to write the episode script.
• ElevenLabs. The generated script text is sent to ElevenLabs to synthesize into speech.
• Google (Sign-In). If you choose to sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Google's OAuth service.
• Cloudflare. Our infrastructure provider - all traffic to Redub passes through their network.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Episodes are public

Redub is a public listening platform, not a private tool. Once generated, an episode - including its title, transcript, and audio - is listenable by anyone who has the link or browses the site. Don't submit a prompt containing anything you don't want made public.

Cookies

• A signed session cookie, if you're signed in, to keep you logged in.
• An anonymous listener cookie, so repeat plays from the same browser aren't double-counted in listening stats.

We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention and deletion

We keep account and episode data until you ask us to remove it. Redub is an early-stage product and deletion requests are currently handled manually - email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

Redub is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change materially, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date.
